Introduction to IELTS

Almost all international universities require the IELTS (International English language Testing System) inspection as the default English evaluation for admission to any type of courses they offered and it is also required for immigration and work permit purposes.

There are two types of tests:

Academic Test:

For those people who wants to study in universities where English is medium of instructions.

General Training Test:

For those people who needs more general level of English for employment purposes.

IELTS is divided into four sections:

· Listening

· Reading

· Writing

· Speaking

Reading and writing are different for academic and general IELTS tests. Listening and Speaking are same for both types of IELTS examinations.

All the candidates are marked on a band scale form 0 to 9, band 9 indicates an expert user and 0 indicates that user is totally unaware of English.
